Welcome to the online headquarters of the Ocean County Republican Organization. This year is a pivotal year for our Party and I hope that you will join us in our efforts.

The 2008 election cycle was a tremendous success for Republicans in Ocean County. While it is unfortunate that Senator McCain fell short in the race for the White House, Ocean County gave the McCain/Palin ticket the second largest margin of victory in New Jersey. At the county level - despite an aggressive campaign from our opponents - County Clerk Carl Block, Surrogate Jeff Moran and Freeholder Joe Vicari enjoyed overwhelming victories; with margins of more than 22,000, 43,000 and 33,000 respectively.

Locally, significant victories occurred in Beachwood, where Republicans prevailed in a very contested campaign. In Lakewood and Seaside Park Republicans took control in well executed campaigns. Meanwhile, Republicans held control in Barnegat in a very close election. Additionally, Republicans were able to pick up seats in Lavallette and Pine Beach. I am greatly privileged to be able so say that our party’s candidates won more than eighty percent of all municipal contests countywide.
