Welcome to the online headquarters of the Ocean County Republican Organization. This year is a pivotal year for our Party and our nation. We are facing important elections at all levels of government and I can not stress the importance of a strong "Get Out the Vote" effort to elect our Republican candidates.

As you know, we have a hotly contested Presidential race. The next President will have a strong impact on the future of our country and our Supreme Court. Senator McCain is a man of strong conviction and character who makes policy decisions based on what is best for our country, not what is best for the special interests. His choice of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate demonstrates that Senator McCain wants to change the status quo in Washington and make our government more responsive to its citizens. Together, John McCain and Sarah Palin have energized our Party with their commitment to reform Washington and put the taxpayers first.

Our U.S. Senate candidate, Dick Zimmer will bring that same reform-minded attitude to Washington. Dick Zimmer will work for the best interest of the taxpayers of New Jersey. It is time to say no to Frank Lautenberg, since his efforts in Washington have left New Jersey dead last in the amount of tax dollars sent to Washington that come back to the state from which they originated.

In the Third Congressional District, Congressman Jim Saxton is retiring, and Chris Myers is vying to defeat Democrat John Adler. In the Fourth Congressional District, our incumbent, Congressman Chris Smith is seeking re-election. We must do all that we can do help Chris Myers in the Third District and Chris Smith in the Fourth District. Remember to tell all your family and friends in Ocean County to vote for "Chris for Congress".

In Ocean County our Freeholder and Constitutional officers work tirelessly around the clock to provide the residents of Ocean County with the best services at the lowest possible cost. Our County candidates up for election this year are County Clerk Carl Block, Surrogate Jeff Moran, and Freeholder Joe Vicari. Carl, Jeff, and Joe exemplify the meaning of public service and I hope that you will work hard to re-elect them this year.

Finally, please take some time to explore where our candidates stand on the issues that are important to you and your family. Also, be sure to sign up as a volunteer and to receive email updates before you leave our site. Remember to vote Column A on Tuesday, November 4th.
